…are independent of government and can, therefore, lobby for and represent businesses without any ties with central, regional or local government. We also offer local networking events every month to support business in making new contacts to develop and grow.
All chambers have local priorities but LLC will focus on 4 key themes, reflecting the key issues and concerns for London’s businesses. These are:
Transport
…we want to promote good transport infrastructure and will represent our members on developments such as Crossrail 2 and river crossings in East London We will also represent our concerns on parking regulations, to protect the trade within our high streets and other areas of high employment. We will also represent our members on issues set out in the Mayor of London’s transport strategy published in 2018 HERE.
Employment Land
… we want to ensure that London protects employment land and existing workspaces and supports the growth of business in our capital city to ensure there are local jobs for local people.
Barriers to growth
… we will represent our member’s views and lobby for business on issues such as business rates, business revaluations, skills and employment and late payments.
The environment
… we will follow national and London strategies to represent our businesses on issues such as waste, energy, air quality and food.
